As fighting with the Saudi-led coalition continues on the western front of Lahij Province and southern Taiz Province, the Yemeni Armed Forces have cleared

al strategic heights overlooking the Bab al-Mandab Strait in the Kahbub mountain range.

According to the latest reports from the southwestern Yemeni front, Yemeni forces have succeeded in clearing the heights of San Sanfah, Sanfah, Al-Jarubah, and Al-Hamra in western Lahj Province.

Concurrently with these advances, Yemen’s missile and drone forces carried out several precision operations targeting concentrations of Al-Amaliqah forces and armed members of the Al-Subayhah tribes, who are backed by Saudi Arabia. The attacks reportedly involved ballistic missiles and Rajum hexacopters, killing at least ten personnel and wounding several others.

Saudi fighter jets have also carried out more than 12 airstrikes against this axis, but so far these strikes have failed to halt the Yemeni advances.

The aforementioned positions in the Kahbub mountains play an important role in consolidating advances in southwestern Yemen and securing the Bab al-Mandab Strait. Ansarullah’s movement along this axis is not aimed at entering Aden; rather, it is intended to prevent counterattacks by Saudi-led coalition forces, allowing the Yemeni forces to establish long-term control and security over the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
