The Houthis (Ansarallah) announced they shot down a Saudi F-15 over Marib using a locally manufactured surface-to-air missile.

They said two additional Saudi F-15 and Typhoon formations were later engaged while searching for the downed aircraft and were forced to withdraw.

They denied Saudi claims that they targeted Mecca and said their operations are directed at Saudi oil facilities and military bases and are “far removed from the holy places.”
