3 oil tankers exploded and caught fire after striking naval mines while attempting to cross an unauthorized route south of the Strait of Hormuz over the past 24 hours, IRGC Navy reported.

IRGC said the vessels had switched off their radar and navigation systems and ignored its warnings before being abandoned along the southern coast of the strait.
