Corrections Policy

P4P Global Desk treats corrections as part of the public record.

When an update is wrong

If a factual error is identified, the editor should correct the update as soon as reasonably possible and add a correction/editor note when the change is material.

Developing stories

Early information in fast-moving events can change. A developing update may therefore be revised as reliable information becomes available. Changes that alter the substance of the original update should be explained.

Removal

Updates may be unpublished when they are duplicate, unsafe to retain publicly, legally problematic, or no longer meet the desk's publication standards. The underlying archive and any backup may be retained for administrative purposes where appropriate.

Report an issue

If you believe an update contains an error, use the Contact page and include the update link, the specific statement you believe is incorrect, and a supporting source where possible.
